I know, I know, being a lesbian requires me to actually be politically correct and socialist and indie, but I have to have these guilty pleasures, or else I’ll go crazy!
But hiding behind the closet about these lesbian guilty pleasures are driving me crazy anyway. I’m coming clean and listing down the guilty pleasures I have, just please don’t throw a piece of stinky tofu at me!
1. Britney Spears – I loooove her. I know. Why??? She’s a good singer and dancer! I can actually defend her to death when any one says something snappy about her. And yeah, I memorized word-for-word every song of her very first album.
2. Fried chicken skin – trust me, it’s the loveliest thing invented next to the wheel. Cholesterol-filled and totally inhumane, how can those forlorn-looking alfalfa sprouts compare to these bumpy juicy wonders?

3. The Bold and the Beautiful – have you actually tried watching this? Darn my aunt for introducing me to this mid-day soap opera! Complete with an over-acting cast and two face-slaps per episode, I find myself losing sleep over this.

4. Japanese Game Shows – I won’t try to explain, but instead show you the video below. Then you can see what I’m talking about.
5. Disney movies – no matter how cheesy, homophobic and sickly-sweet they are, I have to admit that Disney still trumps everyone when it comes to animated film making. From the best of computer animation to riveting storylines, legendary films like Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Monters Inc. and The Incredibles top the list of the most memorable animated films of all time.
There, I’ve come clean! These guilty pleasures absolutely rock my world, and I know people just HATE them! But I can’t help it, they relive my stress levels – mostly from being a lesbian myself!

Well Britney Spears is totally hot! No one can deny that. You’re not alone here. I’ve been a fan of her since I was 12.
And Disney movies are quite good, and some of them empowering for women (such as Mulan and Pocahontas).
Everyone has their guilty pleasures. It’s ok.
I love Britney and I too would defend her to the death! All my friends love Pink, but I don’t see what’s so great about her, for me Britney is the ideal woman, gorgeous and a crazy! x
