Lesbians Over Flowers

Boys giving flowers to girls is such a stereotypical heterosexual act of affection, I’m wondering if a lot of lesbians adopt the same act.
In fact, a better question would be to ask if lesbians even appreciate getting flowers the same way straight people seem to.

The reason I ask is that… well, okay, shoot me, but I would rather get something like chocolate, food, or a comic book.

Beer wins over flowers all the time! WHOOT!

The first time someone gave me flowers (I was in middle school), I threw it away the first instant I was alone.

The second time (I was in college), I put it inside a plastic bag along with my lunch jsut so I won’t be embarassed walking around with it.

Now that I’ve grown more mature (so to speak), I just put them in a vase and when they die, that’s when I put them in the trash.

I don’t know, call me unromantic and all, but then I just don’t see the value of something that will wither away after a couple of days. It’s fine to have a garden of them and all, when they’ll be alive, but cut flowers for me, no matter how beautiful they are, are already dead.

Anyhoo, I don’t see a lot of lesbians giving flowers to heir girlfriends either. In fact, I don’t think I’ve actually seen one.

I’ve seen more dykes giving beers. They’re pollen-free, not as expensive, and won’t hide a bee ;)

Its the other way round here with everyone I know… I love getting flowers and my wife loves getting them. Maybe its down to whatever label you are. You will find femmes love it but the butches don’t… I am in betweeny so I like them or beer! Whichever… In fact I prefer Roses… you can dry and press them when they are done :o )

Whatever they give you, its the romantic gestures that counts.

Worst Ive ever got an ex got my a tray of toffee with a hammer!!! My ex nearly wore the hammer!

It’s nice when it’s clean and simple (no ribbons, paper cover, glitter, etc.) but I’d rather get wine and cheese.
