Because lesbians undergo a generally more-stressed childhood (imagine not being accepted by your peers), we can say that lesbains are generally more delayed when in comes to getting acquainted with the better pleasures of the world. Worst case would be when they’re stuck in some hick homophobic town and getting laid with anyone becomes akin to chasing after an Olympic gold.
But then again, lesbians are generally more open to sexual exploration (they probably wouldn’t notice they were gay unless they were). So curiosity about the human anatomy is likely to come in more earlier. The bigger challenge would be to find someone to share that curiosity with.
the late or early bloomer?
I had my first lesbian crush at age 4, my first girlfriend at the age of 14, but my first legitimate sexual encounter was at the age of 17.
I’m not sure how to benchmark myself against the other gay people. I personally think I’m on the top of the bell curve – meaning I’m among the normal ones for our generation. Comparing myself to the hets though, I would be considered a late bloomer, I guess.
Anyway, early or late, eventually it will happen to a lesbian sooner or later. I sincerely hope that there is no lesbian version of the forty year-old virgin.
As has now been a practice, I open this question up for everyone pending my full survey. I will let you know the results as soon as I get them.

late bloomer?
i fell in love to a woman at the age of 13 and lost my virginity when i was 18…shoot!
First TV/movie crush was on the little girl, Carol Anne, in Poltergeist. I was about 4 or 5. (I know, a little odd). When I was 7 I was in the bath tub with chicken pox and I told my mom that I wanted to go to Hollywood and be Carol Anne’s best friend, my mom then told me she had passed away of a sickness at age 13. That was my first heartbreak.
First real person cruch was on a girl in high school at 14.
Lost. I lost my virginity to a guy at 19.
I finally lost my virginity to a girl at 21.
