Graduation Blues: Where are the Proud Gay Parents?

I attended the elementary graduation of my brother yesterday. 167 graduates, 334 parents.

I had my eye out for a gay or lesbian couple who could be the proud parents of a graduate. I planned to approach them and shake their hand. I was already picturing the scene in my mind- surely there must be at least one?

Luca Has 2 Mommies - a lesbian couple acts as proud parents during Luca's graduation. Where were they?

Unfortunately, the program went on and I found that the statistics have failed me. Technically, 10% of the population should be gay, so doing all the calculations, there should be 16 gay couples in the graduation ceremony.

Lesbian Hypnosis Video: Turn a Het to a Les in 27 Seconds!

Posted by Lesfriendly.com - The lesbian blog | Posted in Lesfriendly, Web | Posted on 20-02-2009

Have you ever thought you can turn a straight girl into a lesbian in as short as 27 seconds? Well, here is the alleged method: a turn-me-into-a-lesbian video.

Disappointed lots? Lol. I can understand. Its boring, it kinda sucks, and there are no photos of women with a less-than-abundant amount of clothing. But it actually has a hypnotizing effect. I find myself replaying, just like I the penchant I have to spelling banana over and over again (b-a-n-a-n-a. Try it).

Outraged at Outrage: Lack of Lesbian Representation

2

Posted by Lesfriendly.com - The lesbian blog | Posted in Movies, Web | Posted on 11-02-2009

Philippines’ virginal and young Outrage Magazine recently came up with the feature entitled Stirred, AND Shaken… GLBTQIA Shakers and Movers written by an M.D. dela Cruz Tan, an article that supposedly showcases the 10 community members that helps break the bonds of the gay stereotype in the Philippines.

I could imagine the scenario in my head: the bulk of readership, advertisers and contact of Outrage are members of the community who were interested in men ie. gay men, bisexuals and trans (M-F). That is the only legitimate reason why I will try to rationalize their own fault of not exactly representing the whole community in the 10 LGBTQIA shakers they featured.

I opened my Facebook this morning and saw an invite for an online march for gay marriage rights. The online march will be run through Facebook only and will last all through out the Obama inauguration week.

Entitled Equality Matters, the campaign’s website says it launched last December 27. It outlines 1,138 reasons to support gay marriage and equal rights. Am I the online who just caught up with this agenda this week?

Being Lesbian is not a Secret

Type “Lesbian” in Postsecret.com and here are the things that come out. I was actually surprised, there were only four. It looks like being gay isn’t that big of a secret… anymore.

I was a lesbian for 10 years. I met a man and we got engaged. I still think I belong with a woman. I don’t know how to tell him I can’t marry him. Help

lesbian capricorn

Girlfriend is a fan of horoscope. Or so it seems – she regularly updates me with what the stars say about my destiny and she gets it from MadalynAslan.com. So far, things are pretty up to speed and I’m happy as Capricorn me, but I have a lingering question – does Miss Aslan know that I’m gay?

A quick trip to Google solved my problem- there is actually a site that gives out horoscope exclusively for gays.

If You can’t Throw Your Shoe at Bush, Make Him Sell Hotdogs

Posted by Lesfriendly.com - The lesbian blog | Posted in Web | Posted on 06-01-2009

What could happen when Bush gets kicked out of the White House? Will he knit as a pastime? Make war speeches at colleges? Or sell hotdogs and burgers for a living?

In many of ours fantasies, its the latter. Currently burning my precious fingers playing Hotdog Bush, a new (old?) 2d game featured on Yahoo! Games.
