This lesbian has been sooo busy with work the past few days. My day would go: wake up, go to work, work for about 15 hours , go home, walk my dog, sleep, the  work again. I abandoned my lesbian friends. In fact, I could even say I abandoned my girlfriend – we were reduced to a couple of days a week of dinner, and even then I would be so tired that I oftentimes slept on the way home. What quality time.

Not that I was complaining, however. I totally liked working. I was a corporate dyke happily absorbed into making powerpoints, projections, pitches and presentations. We were specially overloaded because of 5 pitches within 3 weeks (we won 3, lost 1, waiting for news on the last one, thank you).

I guess I should explain a bit more: I work in an industry where people are used to working hard and partying harder. Advertising.

I’m not good at lying. So if you catch a lesbian lying, that would probably be me. You can easily tell little lying lesbian me is not telling the truth when I either:

a. Avert my eyes while speaking. There’s scientific research somewhere that says women tend to look left when inventing a story, seeking their more creative right brain
b. Sound specially excited. “You’re movie was soooo great! Specially the part where, uh, at the end…” (mentally banging head against wall for stupid statement)

That’s what it said on the ad I saw in the newspaper today.

Girl Hunting Girl – text or call 261989-898.

I wouldn’t know if I’m to be pleased or not. On one hand, it’s a lesbian who asserts herself in hunting another girl.

Will she be successful?

On the other hand, it could be a psycho-maniac with a girl-hunting fetish.

On the other hand, it shows acceptance of the advertising community for gay ads.

On the other hand, “girl hunting girl” doesn’t really sound like it came from a lesbian with good intentions, doesn’t it?

Would the girl hunting girl ad be effective? I better call to see .

The advertising world, while dominated by queers, isn’t always friendly to gays and lesbians. They tend to stick to the “normal” and the, for now, heterosexual. Advertising and real life actually feed each other- ads get inspiration from what they think is the social ideal, while the general public thinks what is ideal is seen on the ads.
