Lesbian Bonnie Perry is now a bishop!
Whoops, did I just speak too soon?
The lesbian (and out) bishop Rev. Bonnie Perry is actually just a candidate out of three. Whoops.
August 1, 2009, three candidates for the position of the ninth diocesan bishop: the Rev. Mariann Budde, the Rev. Bonnie Perry and Rev. Brian Prior.
Perry is rector of All Saints’ Church in Chicago, and is openly gay. She has a partner for 22 years named Rev. Susan Harlow.
